I’m a big fan of up-cycling and buying ‘second hand’ in an effort to: one, spend waaay less money and two, not promote mass production/ big corporations as much as I can…blah, blah, blah, to save the environment, you get it. It’s not easy to engage others in shopping second hand stores for kid-related things (although most of my son’s clothing and toys are from a thrift store, ha!) but I figured I could start with books!
Together let’s maintain our kids’ interest in books while sharing with others. Bring books that your baby has outgrown and swap them with other kid’s books. Make new friends and read to one another!
Here is how it works:
1. Bring 3 books to swap that are age appropriate. Books should be in very good condition. Think of the condition you’d like to receive your swaped books.
2. Sign-up on signing sheet and remember your number.
3. Numbers and their respective names will be chosen at random to take turns to swap.
4. Have fun, meet other parents and enjoy pre-loved books.
